Saudi Arabia's MiSK Announces The Second Edition Of Its Entrepreneurship World Cup

The 2019 Entrepreneurship World Cup Finals

MiSK, a non- profit organization by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, has just announced that it is launching the second edition of its Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC), an initiative set up to provide support to the nation’s young business minds, helping them turn their ideas into successful business ventures. The upcoming event will be hosted virtually in line with strict safety measures still in place to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The upcoming event, which has five stages of participation and is the world’s largest entrepreneurship ecosystem, is set to attract hundreds of participants from across the globe. EWC 2020 will offer various training programs aimed at supporting the Kingdom’s young entrepreneurs, helping them to develop their business models, while gaining new skills and strengthening existing ones. Participants will be guided and helped at every step of their journey by mentors and specialists in various fields.

According to MiSK Foundation’s Twitter account, the second edition will specifically offer a social enterprise track, new competition categories, access to Google Cloud, website design support, more than 1 million US dollars in cash prizes, and over 70 million US dollars of in-kind support services. EWC is not the first event that MiSK has launched in support of Saudi Arabia youth, particularly during these unprecedented times that has seen the nation’s young minds having to put many of their aspirations on hold. Prior to this event, MiSK launched the “Never Disconnect” online campaign website earlier in 2020, as an extension to its role in supporting education and development. The platform was created as a hub for MiSK’s diverse initiatives and programs, enabling anyone to easily access and benefit from available educational and developmental opportunities.

Indeed, the organization aims to help the nation’s youth “overcome the standing obstacles, to continue self-development under any circumstances, and not to surrender to global challenges,” as explained on its official website.
