They are receiving an A to Z training on power & electricity at the Jeddah South Thermal Power Project.

Under an agreement between the King Abdulaziz University and Effat University, the “Saudi Electricity Company” organized a training for 15 engineers in electricity generation at the Jeddah South Thermal Power Project.

The full-fledged curriculum spans from on-hands practical training (methods of energy production and equipment know-how) to visits to the station training center, where the trainees can benefit from the experience and knowledge of expert Saudi engineers.

In the Jeddah south station, 10 students will spend a three-month summer training and five students will undergo a six-month cooperative training program.

According to SABQ online newspaper, the internship includes field visits to the site and training on system operation and maintenance. Throughout this learning experience, the Saudi female students will be working on projects and upon selection, they will have a chance to execute them.

The South Jeddah power plant training center stands as the first with state of the art technology in generation stations in the Kingdom. The five training spaces include two rooms equipped with 24 computers to give English lessons and train soft skills.
