Bella Hadid Is The Face Of New Calvin Klein Swim Collection

The part-Palestinian model simply stuns in the campaign…

With Bella Hadid and Calvin Klein pieces being an undeniable match made in heaven, the label has turned once again to the model for their 2020 spring swimwear campaign. And the Palestinian-American is undoubtedly the ultimate water babe diving into summer in the images lensed by British photographer Charlotte Wales.

The 23-year-old brunette, who is a brand ambassador for the American company, is seen in some fantastical underwater shots in a pool with crystal blue water or against a white-washed wall. Wales, who has worked with the likes of Chanel and Louis Vuitton, also opted for some breathtaking black and white imagery.  The new collection, which includes pieces for men, comes with a retro spin and is inspired by 90s fashion. Available in stores in the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, the swimsuits are emblazoned with current CK logos, while the bikinis have the company’s retro logo. The range, which also features kaftan cover-ups and separates, has a varied colour palette, from classic black and white to neon options that are all the rage. And whether in a plunging black one piece, a white bikini with a bandeau top and wide bottoms  or a hot pink one, Bella really turns up the heat.

California-raised Bella has a string of Calvin Klein ads in her portfolio. Last year, she was chosen as one of the faces for the label’s summer 2019 collection alongside models Abby Champion and Matthew Noszka. Bella, who was voted Model of the Year in 2016 by industry professionals for Models.com, has also featured alongside other leading models like Naomi Campbell and Cara Taylor for the memorable star-studded #MyCalvins IRL underwear ad campaign.

Other 2020 campaigns Bella has fronted include the spring/summer “Jacquemus At Home” one, which was shot entirely over FaceTime due to social distancing measures. While it was photographed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti, with the label's designer Simon Porte Jacquemus in charge of the creative direction, the blue-eyed beauty took care of her own make-up and hair. Bella, who was self-isolating at her Dutch mum’s Pennsylvania farmhouse, was also handpicked by Ricardo Tisci for Burberry’s spring/summer campaign alongside two fellow supermodels, her older sister Gigi and Kendall Jenner. The in-demand model can also be seen in this season’s Miu Miu Eyewear campaign, as well as Helmut Lang and Missoni’s latest ads.
