Inspired by the eighties disco era, Aya and Mounaz speak about their aesthetic to Vogue Arabia, “Our collection is meant to be intricate but with a subdued effect, showing extreme detail and versatility. Pam Nasr worked with us to style the shoot by featuring edgy leather dresses, accentuating key 80s styles such as shoulder pads, and tying everything together through hair and makeup.”

The four new eyewear designs are called; Oukra, Palmette Heat, Palmette Minaudiere and the Into The Rod shades. The Oukra style is a nod to vintage styles, which feature color coordinating enamel motifs, whilst the Into The Rod shades are a tribute to the Egyptian label’s plexi handbags as they are made with a plexiglass frame and the brand’s signature brass rod motifs.

The fourth design in the new eyewear collection is the Palmette Minaudiere style which features embossed signature palmettes around the frame, which fall in line with the luxury brand’s classic brass bags, which come in 18K gold or palladium plating. Priced at between USD $250-540, the eyewear is made in Italy and available to purchase via Okhtein’s website.
