Kylie Jenner Becomes Youngest Highest-Paid Celebrity on ‘Forbes’ List

A day in the life of Kylie Jenner includes waking up to find you’re the youngest highest-paid celebrity.

“Forbes” has ranked Kylie Jenner at #59 on their ‘Celebrity 100 List,’ which features the highest-paid celebrities of 2017. The 19-year-old star stands out among the smorgasbord of entertainers making astounding incomes, as she is the youngest on the annual power list. She is said to have accumulated a staggering $41 million of earnings over the last 12 months.

Kylie, who was also the only teen to make it on the another “Forbes” list this year, took it all in her stride, coolly posting, “Wow woke up the youngest entry on the @Forbes 100 list” on Instagram. The starlet’s main source of income has been reality TV. As well as her family’s success with the long-running “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” she has her own upcoming solo-show, “Life of Kylie.” However, there’s also her ever-growing beauty line, Kylie Cosmetics. Kylie introduced eponymous beauty products like the Kylie Lip Kits, which include lip stains, liners, and glosses, after making hints on her social media profiles. The youngest Kardashian-Jenner has 21.7 m followers on Instagram, so it’s not a surprise people started demanding for the make-up. Then there’s the global lifestyle brand Kendall + Kylie, which she runs with her sister. As well as clothing, it has mushroomed to include accessories like shoes, bags and even phone cases. Kylie also rakes in the dough by posting sponsored content for products on social media, appearances and through games and apps.

Another cause to celebrate for Kylie is the fact only 16 women made it on the list. One of them was big sister Kim, who clocked in at #47 for earning $45.5 million, according to “Forbes.” The biggest female earner, however, was none other than Beyoncé, who raked in a reported $105 million. She came behind Sean "Diddy" Combs, who secured the top spot for making an estimated $130 million. Other females on the list included J.K. Rowling (#3), Ellen DeGeneres (#16) and Adele (#18).

There were some mixed reactions on social media about Kylie’s latest feat. While some felt congratulations were in order, others wondered if she had really earned beating out stars like Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears. A common criticism is that Kylie’s business success wouldn’t have been possible without “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” the E! reality TV series starring the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
