Learn To Box From The UAE’s First Female Emirati Boxer

Fahima Falaknaz is the UAE’s first ever female Emirati boxer, and since representing her country alongside Hanan Ibrahim al Zyodi at the Asian Women’s Boxing Championship in 2019, Falaknaz has continued to inspire and encourage other women to take up the sport. In a bold move, Fahima has decided to offer up her skill set to the public as she is now teaching women-only boxing classes at the Real Boxing Only Gym in Dubai’s Al Quoz.

It wasn’t long ago that Muslim female boxers were prohibited from competing in their hijabs, and since that rule has been revoked, boxers such as Fahima Falaknaz have taken to the ring. Soon to be teaching classes to other women like herself, Fahima is making the sport accessible and also empowering those who wish to learn.
