Dr Maryam Zamani Is The A-List Aesthetician & Skincare Specialist To Add To Your Little Black Book

The Arab beauty’s timeless, youthful skin perfectly speaks for her work and products…

When A-listers feel their eye area needs a bit of tweaking, they turn to Dr Maryam Zamani, a leading consultant oculoplastic surgeon. The London-based medic with a global reputation for excellence in eye treatments is also a supremo when it comes to facial aesthetics. And as if that isn’t enough, Zamani, who is originally from Iran, is the founder and creator of MZ Skin, a sought-after skincare range that has been used by the likes of Elle Macpherson, Arizona Muse, Gwyneth Paltrow and Princess Charlene of Monaco.

After becoming an oculoplastic surgeon, a plastic surgeon who works around the eye area, in the US, Zamani moved to London after getting married. While waiting for her credentials to get transferred, she worked on getting two fellowships in facial plastics at London’s Imperial College NHS Trust and Chelsea Westminster NHS Trust. The American Board of Ophthalmology fellow is known for work on the upper and lower eyelids, puffy eyes, upper eyelids with excessive skin and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). Also an associate member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine and the Royal College of Ophthalmology, as well as a member of numerous societies, Zamani is  in demand for non-surgical cosmetic procedures like Botox, fillers, laser treatments and peels too. Her bespoke treatment plans, carried out on Sloane Street’s The Cadogan Clinic, enhance, revitalise and refine the face in a noticeable yet totally natural way.

The Skincare Range
Launching a skincare range was a natural headway for Zamani, who has been a skincare aficionado since she was a teenager. With an impressive number of years in the industry and lots of encouragement from her husband, the doctor with the preventative philosophy started her entrepreneurial journey by creating creams with a French formulator. Zamani asked her patients and friends to try them so she could see how they could be improved and by September 2016, around two and a half years later, MZ Skin had launched at Harrods.

“I created MZ Skin because I saw a genuine need for high-performance skincare rooted in medical science coupled with women’s desires and a beautiful sensory experience. I have selected pioneering, anti-ageing ingredients and created formulations that are clinically proven to provide an easy-to-understand skincare method that delivers visible results," Zamani, who believes skin damage repair can start in the 20s, explains on

“MZ Skin is inspired by all the women I have met and treated. It is a doctor-led brand made for women by a woman. I have deliberately focused on creating an exquisite capsule collection that translates into a skincare regime that will endure to reveal, enhance and protect your skin.”

The award-winning, clean, advanced skincare range has powerful, inventive and fuss-free products women need to address the key causes of ageing. Zamani, who lists retinol, vitamin C and SPF as some of her must-haves, has come up with various creations, including cleansers, face and eye creams, serums, masks and an LED light mask. And as well as coming in gorgeous pink, white and hints of gold packaging, the products contain some uncommon cutting-edge and potent active ingredients like nano gold particles and ovine placenta stem cells. Plus, the eco-conscious and philanthropic Zamani has ensured each product is multi-functional, so users get additional benefits, and free of parabens and silicones. The Retinol Skin Booster, Glow Boost Ampoules and Rest & Revive are some of the bestsellers from the well-suited, luxurious yet girly line.
