Saudi Arabia Scores Membership In Two Committees of The United Nations

Some good news at last...

Another win for Saudi Arabia! The Kingdom earned itself two positions in the United Nations committees during the remote elections at the headquarters in New York.

Along with the support of member states, the results of the elections, which were announced on April 22nd, landed Saudi Arabia a seat in Science and Technology Development Committee (CSTD) for the period from 2021-2024 and another seat in the Commission for Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPC) for the period from 2021-2023.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Muallami, expressed his happiness with this achievement and added that the Kingdom's efforts in numerous field have lead the way to this success. Hence, under the Crown Prince's Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia has strenghtened its position and distinguished relations in the realm of the international community.
