Saudi Women Will Now Be Awarded for Their Achievements

Fahd Al Rasheed, GCEO and Managing Director of King Abudallah Economic City (KAEC), has teamed up with Dr. Suhair Al-Qurash, President and CEO of Dar Al-Hekma University, to honour talented Saudi women with The Raiah Award. The first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, the award recognizes women’s contributions to business, academia, society and family life, and is divided into five categories: Education Raiah, Family Raiah, Community Raiah, Creativity and Innovation Raiah, and Promising Raiah.

The initiative stems from the “Saudi Vision 2030” program and KAEC’s social responsibility strategy, and is under the patronage of Prince Khalid Al Faisal. It aims to empower young Saudi women to follow their ambitions and be active members in society. Dr. Al-Qurash sees this partnership as a catalyst to advance the creation of opportunities for Saudi women across the Kingdom.

Fahd Al-Rasheed expressed his gratitude to Prince Al-Faisal for his support and congratulated Dar Al-Hekma University for playing an effective role in nurturing a generation of exceptional Saudi women.

A total of five winners will be chosen and honoured amongst high profile guests at a special awards ceremony at King Abudallah Economic City. The award includes a cash prize worth 50,000 Saudi Riyals and a training grant from Mohammad Bin Salman College for Business and Entrepreneurship.

Applicants can nominate friends or family members online at www.raiah.kaec.net. Nominations will be accepted until Sept. 28, 2017.
