Moroccan-Egyptian Model Imaan Hammam Stars In Alexander McQueen’s SS20 Campaign

Long live McQueen

It’s not every day we see models with Arab heritage in major fashion campaigns, so when it happens, we like to highlight the stunning models flying the flag for the region.

23-year-old Dutch born, Moroccan-Egyptian model, Imaan Hammam fast became a regular face in international fashion campaigns after she was first discovered a decade ago, when she was just 13, in Amsterdam and made her fashion week debut in Paris in 2014, when she walked for Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy.

Since then, the Arab beauty has starred in campaigns for some of the biggest names in fashion, including Maison Margiela, Coach, Celine, Topshop and H&M and now Alexander McQueen.

Starring alongside Vivien Solari and Delice Noordhoff in McQueen’s romantic new campaign, we spotted Imaan posing elegantly in meticulous tailoring amongst other stunning pieces made with leathers and tulles.

Creative Director Sarah Burton explained her concept on the latest SS2020 collection, “Each look tells its own story. The connection between the clothes is the time it took to make them. I was interested in clarity and paring things down, in the essence of garments – stripping back to the toile. I love the idea of people having the time to make things together, the time to meet and talk together, the time to reconnect with the world.”
