Dubai’s Crown Prince Wins Big In Horse Race In KSA

Paying homage to Saudi Arabia, he also wore a shirt and hoodie that were both emblazoned with Saudi flag.

Renowned for his love of the great outdoors, animals and adventure, Dubai’s Crown Prince Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is a sporting equestrian and no stranger to taking part in horse races on an international scale.

On Saturday 1st February 2020, Sheikh Hamdan won the top prize of $4 million at the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup 2020, as he galloped to victory in the 120 km race at a time of four hours and 35 minutes, as his father, Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid cheered him on.

 

 

Taking to Twitter to share his joy at the huge win and his pride to have taken part in such a major event in Saudi Arabia, the Dubai Prince tweeted, "Proud to have taken part in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup in the kingdom's Al Ula along with Emirati equestrians. A regular visitor to the Kingdom, Sheikh Hamdan attended the annual race in Al Ula last year and posted his love for the country on Instagram and Twitter, with a video and the caption, "Mada'in Saleh is truly a magical place. An ancient civilization lost in history, yet traces of their past has survived till date in several archaeological sites, marveling those who explore them."
