K-Pop Comes To Dubai

The Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai has become the host of a number of incredible concerts by artists from all over the world, and this time, the Emirate will be hosting a major K Pop show there.

South Korean pop band, will be one of the major acts flying over to Dubai to perform at the Coca-Cola Arena on March 20th 2020, alongside other K-Pop acts including girl group, Laboum, NCT 127 and singer, Lee Jun Young.

Taking to Twitter to announce the K-Pop Super Concert, the Coca Cola Arena tweeted, “We told you this will be SUPER! You read that right, Super Junior will be performing at the K-Pop Super Concert at Coca Cola Arena on March 20th along with NCT 127, JUN, RGP.”

Last year, Super Junior performed in Saudi Arabia, and though it isn’t their first time performing in the Middle East, it’ll be the first time they take to the stage in Dubai.

After being a major success at Jeddah Season, the band spoke of their experience in Saudi Arabia, with band member, Siwon, stating, “We are the first South Korean band to perform here in Saudi Arabia and I am so proud to be performing here.”

The Middle East seem to be major fans of the K-Pop genre as Super Junior have reportedly topped the Arab region’s iTunes charts, and coming to Dubai, attendees of the concert will be delighted to hear the band’s 9th studio album amongst hits including, Time Slip and Sorry, Sorry.

Super Junior is South Korea’s best-selling band, and have been since 2016 as they have won a plethora of awards for their music, including, 13 Mnet Asian Music Awards, 19 Golden Disk Awards and have won the award of Best International Artist and Best Fandom at the Teen Choice Awards in 2015.
