Just after bidding adieu to Paris Fashion Week (Men’s), the spring/summer Haute Couture Week kicked off in the French capital. While one of the biggest events in the fashion calendar never fails to deliver when it comes to breathtaking gowns, we have to admit it’s those fashion-forward A-listers who make all the difference.
As a swarm of stars swung by the City of Light donning their sartorial best, it proved difficult to focus all our attention on the meticulously crafted creations the models showed off on the runway.
Whether it was Alexa Chung accessorising her outfit with a fashionable pearl necklace or Natalia Vodianova turning up in a structured belted coat-dress, as usual the Dior show was teaming with perfectly groomed celebrity attendees. The Schiaparelli show was another magnet for famous fashionistas like Lady Kitty Spencer, who looked elegant in a pair of cream trousers and a white turtleneck. Also spotted in a front row seat next to her, Pixie Lott chose a bright, attention-grabbing zig-zag patterned dress. Meanwhile, Lady Amelia Windsor looked regal in an embellished high-neck crop-top, flared trousers and pink pumps.
On home turf, the most stylish French style icons and It-Girls showed exactly why they have become a reference for unforgettable wardrobe choices, effortless style and nonchalantly cool looks. Carine Roitfeld, Jeanne Damas, Chloé Harrouche (aka Loulou De Saison) and Caroline de Maigret, who attended the star-packed Chanel show in a classic monochrome look, were some of the country’s most fashionable women rocking our favourite looks.
