Get Zoë Kravitz’s Golden Globe Beauty Look with This Step-By-Step Guide

She really heated up the award show with the fresh face, bold scarlet lip, neutral taupe eye make-up and boyishly groomed brows combination…

If you’re busy plotting all your 2020 beauty looks, some of the best inspiration can be sourced from the recent Golden Globe Awards, thanks to all the A-listers who brought their A-game on the red carpet. One particular look we loved came from Zoë Kravitz. Courtesy of YSL Beauty, the newlywed Big Little Lies actress looked effortless, stylish and just ridiculously beautiful.

The YSL Beauty global make-up and fragrance ambassador’s wispy pixie cut really helped highlight her winning make-up look, which was created by Nina Park. Whether you want to achieve the lightweight base, full brows, almost-bare eyes or chic and classic red lip, the make-up artist stars turn to for modern red carpet glamour has shared the secrets to the look.

SKIN
Nina prepped Zoë's skin with Pure Shots Light Up Serum by massaging it into her skin for instant moisture and luminosity. For a dewy, radiant base, the make-up artist warmed the Touche Éclat Blur Primer in her palms and pressed into Zoë's skin. Next, Nina used a small amount of the Top Secrets Instant Matte Pore Refiner on areas prone to shine.

COMPLEXION
For a dewy glow, Nina, one of the top celebrity and editorial make-up artists in the game, used a dampened sponge to apply Touche Éclat All-In-One Glow in B40, starting at the neck and moving up to the actress’s face. Next, she reached out for the Touche Éclat High Cover in 4.5 and used it in the inner ring of Zoë's eyes and the sides of her nose and mouth. And when it came to setting the base, Nina dusted on some All Hours Powder in Universal with a round powder brush.

LIPS
To prep the beauty’s perfect rich, deep velvety pout, Nina created a matte, even surface by using a small amount of Top Secrets Instant Matte Pore Refiner on the lips. She then achieved the lip shape by lining the outer corners and blending down the centre of Zoë's lips, forming a gradation with Dessin des Levres Lip Liner in Prune. To build the base colour, the Seoul-born beauty whizz used Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain in Black Red Code and blotted after each application. She continued by applying Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain in Red Tribe to the centre of the lips, reapplying and blotting until the desired colour and effect were achieved.

BROWS
In the first step to achieving the ultimate brow shape, Nina brushed the 31-year-old actress’s brow hairs forward and upward, using Couture Brow Mascara in Brun Naturel. Next, the make-up maven filled in spaces with hair-like strokes to define the brows and then pulled the tail of the brows out to extend the shape of Zoë's eyes, using the Couture Brow Slim Pencil in Brun Granite.

EYES
To keep Zoë's lips accentuated, Nina kept her eyes muted in neutral taupe washes from the six-shade Eyeshadow Palette Collector Fall Look 2019. First, the make-up artist applied the light brown shade to Zoë's crease and under the bottom lash to add warmth. The next step saw Nina using a tapered brush to dust the chocolate shade from Zoë's lid to the inner corners for dimension. Next, Nina applied Dessin du Regard Waterproof Stylo Pencil in Black to the upper waterline and used a small cotton bud to soften the edges. Finally, she covered Zoë's top and bottom lashes with Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils in Black.

CHEEKS
With a blush brush, Nina applied Couture Blush in Nude Blouse to softly accentuate the actress, singer and model’s cheekbones. She then used any access blush and gently swiped over in a move that completed the look.
