Adorned in a grey tracksuit, gold chains, Timberland boots, fur boa and finished with a face tattoo, Moroccan-Egyptian model, Imaan Hammam commanded all of the attention as she walked the ramp for Moschino Pre-Fall 2020 in New York earlier this week.
All eyes were on Hammam as she effortlessly nailed the runway in Jeremy Scott’s creations for Moschino, and she most definitely was the one to watch in the “oversized” theme show, in every look – especially in one of the closing looks as she donned an embellished gown with a plunging neckline, accessorized with a huge boom box as a handbag, and large gold earrings.
Imaan is a 23 year old model, who was born in Holland, and she went down a storm at Moschino’s show as she walked alongside the likes of Halima Aden, Stella Maxwell and vitiligo spokeswoman, Winnie Harlow. Being a hijabi model, Halima Aden, walked the runway in a graphic white suit with illustrations on it, with an oversized baseball cap placed fashionably over her hijab.
Imaan Hammam was discovered at the age of 13 in Amsterdam, and made her fashion debut as she walked for the likes of Givenchy, Valentino and Hermes for the first time in 2013. She has since featured in major campaigns, on the covers of magazines and a number of fashion shows, working for high street retailers including Topshop and H&M as well as the high end, at Moschino, Alexander McQueen and Versace – to name just a few.
