Zendaya was crowned best-dressed on the red carpet while attending the recent 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards in Hollywood, not an easy feat when you’re among some of film and TV’s biggest celebrities. And one of the reasons the Euphoria star stole the show was her jewellery by new Saudi label Nadine Jewellery.
Styled by Law Roach, the actress added a punch of colour to her all-black Christopher Esber gown with a pair of yellow and white diamond earrings and matching ring by Nadine Attar, who founded the jewellery house in 2018. The suite of attention-stealing Italian-made jewellery features marquise and round cut diamonds. The pieces are from the Farah collection, which will be “revealed slowly next month,” Attar told Arab News.
The bling undoubtedly took Zendaya’s ensemble, which featured a sparkling cut-out detail at the waist, a single strap and full skirt, to new heights. And to help the diamonds shine even brighter, the actress, who won two awards that night, rocked an effortless topknot.
Attar left a successful career in banking to follow her dreams and establish her jewellery brand. After launching her namesake label during a suhoor event in the UAE during Ramadan last year, she opened a store in Jeddah. With the Lily collection, as well as high jewellery ones like Hummingbird, Canaria and Amazonia, it’s clear to see the certified gemologist is inspired by nature. She is also inspired by culture and spirituality and has a mission to “accentuate your individuality with treasurable designs that are tied to meaningful moments and memories you wish to capture in time to pass on to generations to come,” according to her website.
Even though Attar, who creates pieces for men too, is a newcomer, she has already had a string of high-profile celebrities wearing her handmade jewels. Victoria’s Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Isabelle Goulart have been spotted in Nadine Jewellery, plus, of course there are some regional icons like Yousra and Hend Sabri supporting the up-and-coming label.
