‘Leila, the Land of Imagination’ Selected as Grand Finale Show to Close Riyadh Season

The main character in the exciting show represents a new generation embarking on a constant changing journey towards Vision 2030.

Leila, the Land of Imagination is set to wow audiences on December 20 as the grand finale of the extraordinary Riyadh Season. Ans since the show is based around an engaging female character, it isn’t surprising an extraordinary all-female team is behind the performance that will take place at King Fahd Stadium.

Creative Director Anghela Alò, Executive Producer Laura Cappelli, Commercial Director Silvia Guenzi, Business Director Stefania Garibaldi and Project Manager Annalisa Barbieri of Balich Worldwide Shows have dreamed up the young and pure lead character named Leila. As well as being a symbol of Saudi Arabia today, she represents a new generation embarking on a constant changing journey towards Vision 2030. Leila dreams, imagines her future and faces her fears looking at the world without any prejudice.

Balich Worldwide Shows, the General Entertainment Authority’s strategic partner for the event, took charge of the Kingdom’s 89th National Day celebrations.  The Italian–based company, globally recognised as a top player in live shows, artistic direction and executive production, drew lots of attention during Inspiration Road. Their first foray in Saudi Arabia was inspired by the country’s raw beauty and the determination and pride of its people moving towards their future. And the show opened the way for Leila, the Land of Imagination, an incredible new experience.

Riyadh Season features over 100 events in 12 zones across the capital. The event hopes to welcome over five million visitors, including foreign visitors, through a range of leisure, arts and sports events, exclusive shows, theatrical and musical performances, fashion shows and circus acts, along with optical illusions and games. The season includes the participation of over 40 international restaurants and the largest mobile gaming city, as well as a dancing fountain and over 300 local shops, restaurants and cafes.
