Givenchy Reveals Portraits from the #Arivenchy Campaign Starring Ariana Grande

Beauty, individuality and a sense of empowerment shine through.

Ariana Grande is now officially part of the Givenchy clan. After teasing the aptly called #Arivenchy campaign, the French maison has unveiled a series of striking portraits of the pop idol in her debut for their autumn/winter 2019-2020 collection.

The campaign, which is lensed by photographer Craig McDean, is in line with Givenchy’s signature spirit and keeps with the tradition of portraits favoured by Hubert de Givenchy. The portrait style was dubbed “the Givenchy sitting” by the luxury fashion house’s founder. The images also stay true to some of the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter’s beloved styles, including her sleek, long ponytail and her penchant for striking monochrome images.

Even the gorgeous key looks seem to have the 7 rings singer’s name on them. In the first, Grande appears in a dramatic, oversized off-the-shoulder top and black pants. And for the second outfit, she is seen in a bold and sophisticated green trouser suit. The modern icon, who just finished the first leg of her Sweetener Tour, is often spotted wearing off-the-shoulder looks and tailored ensembles. In a third image, Grande sports a pleated, floral print dress.

While dressed in the trouser suit, the 26-year-old strikes a timeless pose holding the Eden, Givenchy's statement new season bag. With bold graphics and sinuous lines, the Eden was designed with Artistic Director Clare Waight Keller’s Winter of Eden collection in mind. Silken-finish skins, a crisp, geometric shape, sharp functionality and savvy construction make the bag a feat of leather-working savoir-faire.

The #Arivenchy campaign, which will appear in the September issue of selected magazines, has been released online. Grande also took to her Instagram to share the campaign, posting one picture with the caption, "honored to be your girl and wear these looooks @givenchyofficial.” The Florida-born star also wrote she “can’t wait for everybody to see all of the photos."

With only three of the 15 campaign images released till now, we’re on tenterhooks to see some more surprise drops.
