British fashion marvel Victoria Beckham is planning to branch out into beauty. And ahead of the highly anticipated launch of Victoria Bekcham Beauty, which is expected in September during London Fashion Week, the former Spice Girl hooked up with none other than American-Iraqi make-up mogul Huda Kattan. The two powerhouses met recently in London, sparking rumours there may be a mega collaboration in the works.
“Such a pleasure meeting @huda today and chatting about beauty! So excited for #victoriabeckhambeauty to come!! Sign up at the link in bio to be the first to know. X kisses,” 45-year-old Beckham posted on Instagram along with a selfie of them together.
The mother-of four known for her ultra chic style also took to her Instagram Stories to reveal some of the gifts she received from Dubai-based Kattan. The snaps included a bouquet of gorgeous white roses, a note with the message “so happy we could finally meet,” and a gold necklace featuring her name written in Arabic calligraphy.
An excited Kattan also posted about the sit-down on her Huda Beauty Instagram account, as well as her personal one. The blogger and make-up artist, who was also spotted sipping tea in pyjamas with daughter Nour Giselle, sporting Fendi, Alexandre Vautier and Alaia down Sloane Street and heading to Hyde Park with Fortnum & Mason baskets, shared the same selfie, captioning it: “With the queen @victoriabeckham so lovely to meet such a strong, classy woman who cares sooooo much! Loved meeting you today! We also low key talked about our woman crush on @evalongoria.”
Kattan is one of the biggest buffs in the beauty industry, so it isn’t a surprise that Beckham, who has received an OBE from Queen Elizabeth, turned to her to brainstorm ahead of launching her own beauty products. Kattan is reportedly worth $610 million and was ranked 36th on the 2019 list of America's wealthiest self-made women by Forbes, thanks to her immensely popular, globally renowned brand, Huda Beauty. There are over 140 Huda Beauty products, from eyeshadow palettes and foundations to lip gloss and N.Y.M.P.H. body glow, which regularly feature on Cult Beauty's top ten lists.
Repost @huda Welcome to Huda Beauty.... crazy but we just opened our newest office! So much sacrifice goes into starting a business, which is something that’s so hard when you are going through but becomes part of you along the way. It’s so important to always focus on your end goal, no matter how hard it gets at times! Remember why you are here, repeat it over and let it become your mantra!
Beckham’s beauty range will include make-up, skincare, fragrance and wellness products, according to media outlets. Already the force behind an eponymous fashion line, the Harlow-born brunette has previously fronted beauty campaigns and launched products with Estée Lauder, which included four major looks based on her top cities. She often shares her skincare routine, facial appointments and travel favourites too.
Whether the two beauty junkies are collaborating remains to be seen, but we can’t think of a more empowering duo.
