In a statement, Arab Fashion Council CEO, Jacob Abrian said, “The Arab Fashion Week is a powerful platform for local, regional and international fashion designers and design houses to show the rest of the world how fashion is evolving in the Middle East. We are proud to see the event evolving to become an international attraction hosting brands, media and buyers from around the world.”

Staying true to testament, at Arab Fashion Week this month, which is set to run from the 24th-28th of April 2019, attendees can hope to see over 70 designers from Europe, Asia and the Middle East unite to showcase their AW19 collections. In collaboration with Meraas and Umdasc, the 4 day event will also host runway shows, presentations, private trunk shows and pop ups.

Arab Fashion Week, having previously been held at the infamous ship, QE2 in Dubai Creek, will be taking place at Dubai’s premiere “Ready Couture” concept store, 1422 located in at City Walk, for this year’s edition – also in partnership with Sayidaty Magazine who are launching their own café at the conceptual fashion space.

If you’re in the know about Middle Eastern designers, and know your Reem Acra from your Elie Saab, then you’ll most certainly be pleased to see runway shows featuring Amato, Aisha Ramadan, Bluemarine and Rami Kadi, as well as edgy boutique brands including, BLSSED, Bav Tailor and Saudi label, Sara Altwaim.
