Dr. Hadeel Metwally Becomes the First Saudi Arabian Jury Member in the Miss Eco Contest

There is no doubt that many beauty contest enthusiasts around the world were surprised to see Dr. Hadeel Metwally, a Saudi Arabian cosmetician, take a seat as one of the jury members at the 2019 Miss Eco International. The opening ceremony of this year’s show, which featured 65 beauty queens from all corners of the globe, was organized by HN Media City, one of the entities of the Egyptian International Investment Corporation, in partnership with Gecko Spire. The star-studded event was held in the presence of key figures in Egyptian society including artists, athletes, and businessmen such as Laila Alwi, Firas Al Said, Tamer Faraj, and singer Rami Sabri.

During the event, Dr. Metwally expressed her gratitude to Dr. Emad Al Said, the strategic partner of Miss Eco, for allowing her to be part of this year’s jury and giving her the responsibility to inform contestants on the many ways they can preserve their natural beauty without resorting to surgery. Dr. Metwally also took the opportunity to express her pleasure at being part of this international event.

As with every edition of Miss Eco, each contestant presented the culture and traditions of her country by donning its national costume. At the end of the ceremony, contestants from the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Paraguay, Indonesia, Ecuador, Spain, and Ukraine were selected to take part in the next stage of the competition, vying for the prestigious title of Miss Eco 2019.
