Have You Heard of This Emirati Netflix Series That Empowers Arab Women?

The first of its kind, this Emirati Netflix series has us hooked.

Qalb Al Adala

If you’re looking for something new to binge-watch look no further than “Qalb Al Adala” (Justice). Set in Abu Dhabi, this 18 episode drama tells the tale of Farah, a young empowering female lawyer. Played by Fatima Al Taei, Farah refuses to join her father’s firm despite the pressure of family ties and tradition, and pursues her own path as a defense attorney – breaking cultural norms.

Produced and shot by Image Nation and Beelink Productions in the UAE state, the Emirati legal drama is directed by Ahmed Khaled and based on actual cases from the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, which is on board with the show and production team in order to be as authentic as possible.

The Arabic TV series has been created by Oscar nominee Walter Parkes (known for He Named Me Malala) and Emmy award-winning producer William Finkelstein, who worked on the original NBC series on which this is based, LA Law and is available to watch with subtitles in 20 languages.

Looks like you’ll be Netflix and chilling this weekend.
