3 Tasteful Ways To Welcome the Chinese New Year

From a stylish bag to a standout lipstick and head-turning ring, these picks will complement your 2019 Chinese New Year outfit.

Chinese New Year, a public holiday in several countries in East Asia, falls on February 5. The festivities involve the largest human migration in the world for that all-important family reunion. Also known as chunjie (春节) in China, or the Spring Festival, the holiday marks the end of the coldest days and people welcoming spring and what it brings with it, such as harvests and new beginnings. Plus, of course, thanks to the legend of Nián, there are firecrackers to ward off evil spirits and a whole load of holiday decorations and new clothes that are typically a bright and loud red, the colour that’s considered to symbolise good luck and fortune.

So we’ve picked out some top products that will surely complement a red outfit choice, as well as all those lanterns, paper cut-outs and envelopes as you kickstart the Year of the Pig.
