Best-Dressed Stars: The Ultimate Scene-Stealers at the 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards

With all the stop-and-stare dresses, it looks like the stars are conspiring to make this awards season one of the most intensely stylish to date.

Hollywood stars continued to turn on the glamour at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, commonly known as the SAGs, Sunday. The glitzy awards night, which took place in LA’s Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall, saw the star-studded crowd embracing Old Hollywood styles that came with understated modern spins.

Feathers and embellishments were a huge hit with the A-listers who attended the event that exclusively honours the achievements of film and TV actors. And while white and black dominated, many of the fashion forward stars took advantage of the carpet turning silver for the night by opting for colours like pink and crimson, which would have clashed with the traditional red carpet. There were also lighthearted and playful touches galore.

Fittingly, it was the nominees for some of the night's top awards and those who want to court Oscar voters who stole most of the limelight. Here are the stars we felt helped Hollywood’s awards season move fashionably full steam ahead.

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role nominee Rachel Weisz looked stunning in a Givenchy Haute Couture autumn-winter 2018 outfit, designed by Clare Waight Keller. “The Favourite" star wore an asymmetrical cape in black silk velvet with a skirt in silver dévoré velvet, embroidered with gradations of crystal and waxed, silver-tinted ostrich feathers.
