To celebrate and be part of 18-year-old Princess Salma’s graduation from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, King Abdullah II, Queen Rania, Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Iman flew to the UK to attend the ceremony as a family.

Queen Rania, who is seen as an ultimate style icon and always immaculately dressed and preened to perfection, in more often than not, a Middle Eastern designer. She donned a full regional look for her daughter’s graduation, including a traditional Saudi design.

Dressing for the cold British winter, the Jordanian queen styled a white, detailed “farwa” by Saudi designer, Abadia, over a black midi dress, emphasizing the look with on trend white heels, black leather gloves and studded handbag by Egyptian sisters, Okhtein – a brand also championed by Beyonce.

Saudi brand, Abadia, highlighted what a farwa is on their Instagram, captioning, "Traditionally during such weather conditions, Saudi men wear the farwa to stay warm. Farwa (Fur) is a Saudi winter coat originally made out of sheepskin, now evolved into a wool coat lined with sheepskin. Fast forward: Now farwas are considered THE fashion item for Saudi women."

Queen Rania is hailed an inspirational woman within the Arab region and is lauded for her charity work, her support in the fight for women’s rights in the Middle East and for wearing local designers, to name a few of the reasons why she is so loved across the Arab world.
