Our Beauty Guide to Winter Travel

Don’t forget to pack all these beauty essentials for your winter getaway.

Are you travelling for the holidays? Whether you're heading out for a couple of days or weeks, you don’t need to say bon voyage to looking great. You can travel light and still feel like you have all your beauty needs with this jet setter's checklist.

Cosmetics and beauty products can be quite heavy in weight and take up a lot of space in your luggage. So, go over your packing list and just choose some basic items to keep the weight down.  This season’s cosmetics are quite different to the ones you would use in the summer. The winter season calls for specialised creams and serums, to combat lack of sunlight and Vitamin D deficiancy, which may result in wrinkles. Plus, you now need specialised products to protect your skin from climate changes and the drop in temparatures.

Here’s a detailed guide on how to choose the right beauty products for your winter trip. By using all these beauty products throughout the winter season you can protect your skin and hair against the damaging cold.

1. Effective lip balm

Winter is accompanied by dry lips, so make sure you use a lip balm that contains either shea butter or jojoba oil at all times. You should keep it in your handbag, not just in a travel bag, and apply it every few hours.

2. Vitamin-loaded face wash

We suggest you use a face wash that is rich in Vitamin E, Vitamin C and other oils. All these ingredients help to retain the moisture of your skin and ensure its health throughout the winter. It also helps to get rid of wrinkles.

3. Nourishing hair product

Winter affects not only the skin, but also your hair, making it coarser and lifeless. Why don’t you try using a new shampoo that contains additional moisturisers and thickening conditioner to make your hair shiny?

4. Soothing moisturiser

Any woman faces the major problem of dry skin during winter. Therefore, we recommend buying a good moisturiser to keep your skin soft throughout the season. A day moisturizing cream will do wonders.

5. Invigorating scrub

Just like moisturising, exfoliation is necessary for us in winter. When you exfoliate your skin, it helps remove unhealthy, dry skin layers and leaves skin fresh and young. Plus, it prevents acne caused by severe dryness.

Alternate some basics:
Electronic Toothbrush:
Give your everyday toothbrush its own vacation and pack a compact, electronic one instead.
Dry Shampoo: If we’re honest, we don’t really have the time to think about washing our hair regularly on vacation.
Nail polish wipes: Even if you secure the cap on your nail polish remover very tightly, there’s always some messy spillage. This can be avoided with wipes, which get the job done and pass the security check.
