From beautifully designed skyscrapers and the emphasis on safety and law to some of the best quality education and support for women’s empowerment in the region, there are a lot of reasons to love the UAE. Then, of course, there are the sandy beaches, all those amazing restaurants, different cultures and the amazing fact you can go to the desert, visit an island, ski and visit The Louvre in just 24 hours.
So it’s not a surprise everyone is eager to help the UAE commemorate its 47th National Day. And while all the festivities, including the official celebration named ‘This is Zayed. This is the UAE’ take place, several brands have come up with their very own way of honouring the emirates: some extra special collections. We’ve rounded up four of our favourites as there’s nothing like receiving or gifting something that’s unique to the UAE to show just how much we appreciate what the nation has to offer.
1. Turkish jewellery brand Atasay has launched an exquisite capsule collection exclusively for the UAE.
The pieces are inspired by the breathtaking landscape of the country, and like many in the collection, these earrings come in 22 carat gold with subtle hints of turquoise, symbolising the harmony between the water and the spectacular desert. The palm trees represent the iconic Palm Jumeirah.
2. To celebrate UAE’s National Day, Chaumet pays tribute to Emirati women with the latest “Joséphine” campaign, which stars Hamda al Fahim.
The French high jewellery maison has also revealed unique pieces paying tribute to the regional colours and exclusively crafted for the opening of their new regional flagship in The Dubai Mall. This is the “Joséphine Rondes de Nuit" precious secret watch paved with brilliant-cut diamonds, baguette-cut diamonds and a pear-shaped emerald. Unique and 1/1 engraved, it comes with a green dial and green embossed leather strap.
3. Luxury Danish chocolate and liquorice brand LAKRIDS is honouring Dubai with a limited-edition collection dedicated to the region.
The metallic silver, bronze, rose and gold tones are inspired by Dubai’s architecture and the iconic Burj Khalifa colours at sunset. The flavours include the one and only Cripsy Rose, which the brand exclusively made for Dubai. It’s a luxurious taste of adventure with fine gourmet liquorice, white chocolate with creamy yogurt together with real rose petals, strawberry and redcurrant. The gluten-free treats can be found in the recently opened Dubai Mall boutique.
4. To commemorate UAE National Day, Plaisir Cadeaux et Fleurs, the Dubai-based luxury gifts and floral boutique, has created a limited edition bespoke 12x12cm gift box.
One colour from the beloved flag appears on each side of The UAE National Day giftbox box, while the cover also features the UAE flag. What’s more, nine Forever Carnations in the UAE’s national colours can be found Inside. Forever Carnations are exclusive to Plaisir Cadeaux et Fleurs and offer enduring blooms that last over a year without any water.
