Over the weekend, the first women go-karting race was held in in10so in Jeddah and organized by Petromin Corp. The competition included 10 contestants, and the prizes were worth over $2500.

The three Saudi women that won, not only hold backgrounds in racing, but also in the actual making and designing of the racing tracks and cars. How cool is that? Meet Amjad Alamri in first place, Inass Hamza in second, and Lamya AlHusail in third.

Alamri is a mechanical engineering student and a karate player. Her hobby is building the cars, and her passion is driving them, as she states on her Instagram bio.

Aseel Al-Hamad, the first female board member of the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation, was also in attendance. She congratulated the winners on her Instagram stating that all of the competitors are champions for making history in the country.

This is one of the many achievements and firsts Saudi women have been conquering this year, they’re showing the rest of the country and the world that there is nothing unattainable for women in the kingdom and other parts of the world, once they put their minds to it. They might even be the key players in putting Vision 2030 in full action, the plan set and led by KSA’s crown prince MBS.
