Modest fashion is taking the industry by storm, as we’ve seen names like Michael Kors and Dolce Gabbana grace the luxury brand market with Ramadan collections. The phenomenon is still in full swing as this coming Milan fashion week, modest fashion will be celebrated over an entire evening.

The Islamic Fashion & Design Council (IFDC) and Milano Fashion Library have joined forces to host a soiree in homage to modest fashion during the highly anticipated event, which takes place twice a year to showcase Spring Summer and Autumn Winter collections.

The event will host four modest-wear labels including Saudi Arabia’s Bow Boutique, American label Al Nisa Designs, Italian brand Luya Moda, and Brunei based Chantique, who were the IFDC Award winners from Torino Fashion Week, and will present their work in Milan.

Located in the Milano Fashion Library in the Tortona area in Milan, the annual fashion event will be a new and inclusive platform for these emerging modest-wear designers to reach global audiences and delve into the market.

The organizer’s press release states, “Italy is currently the fourth largest Muslim population in Europe which is key to the modest fashion demand. This new IFDC initiative is designed to elevate the visibility of modest fashion brands and bring a new awareness of leading designers in this space.”

The event will take place on September 24th 2018 and is by invitation only.
