Saudi Equestrian Team Wins the Gold at the 2018 Asian Games

Carrera and Abdullah Sharbatly, Kayenna of de Rocky Mounten and Khaled Aleid, Desert Storm II and Khaled Al-Mobty, Ted and Ramzy Alduhami; memorize the names, because these are the magnificent horses and equestrains that led Saudi to victory in Jakarta on Tuesday this week.

This isn't the kingdom’s first win, as Abdullah Sharbatly won the individual jumping event at the 2014 games.

The kingdom is no stranger to this sport, as equestrianism is quite popular in Saudi. In addition to the record-breaking green-clad team consisting of Sharatly, Aleid, Al-Motby, and Alduhami, Salma Rushdi Malhas also made history 8 years ago when she became the first Saudi female athlete to compete in the Olympic Games in the show-jumping competition.
