Over Coffee: Starbucks Working Towards Vision 2030 by Engaging Saudi Youth

Starbucks has invited young Saudi people over coffee, and they mean serious business.

As part of the Saudization campaign, Starbucks is working to hire Saudi nationals as 35% of its personnel by 2020. Therefore, to support this initiative, they hold talks called “Over Coffee”, where Saudi youth are invited to join and get on in the conversation. The sessions are to engage and encourage Saudi Arabian women and men to consider the service sector as a career path.

Saudi Arabian partners in the company attend the talks as well, and discuss their own experiences in the field. The main navigated themes of the sessions revolve around altering the general take on retail and service sectors.

The company vowed to employ 400 Saudi Arabian women and men to help push Vision 2030 forward, led by the Crown Prince MBS, and are on their second session, with many more to come.
