Michael Kors Launches Its 2nd Ramadan Collection Exclusively For the Middle East

Following the success of Italian luxury house, Dolce & Gabbana creating glorious abayas and hijabs in their signature prints and lace, other luxury design houses, including DKNY were quick to jump on the bandwagon.

With a significant demand for luxury modest wear in recent years, American designer, Michael Kors is back with a capsule Ramadan collection for the second year running.

Titled “Michael Kors Ramadan 2018 Capsule Collection”, the affordable, 19 piece, luxury collection also included 6 handbag styles that are exclusively available to the Middle East market.

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, the designer described the collection, “Women in the Middle East have very discerning taste and they appreciate the luxury and quality they find in our clothes and accessories, offering our customers who celebrate Ramadan something special, such as luxurious and elegant kaftans, including a metallic foil version that has that little something extra to help you stand out at special occasions. It’s covered up, but still exciting and eye-catching.”

Also described as “at once modern and sophisticated”, is the designer house’s Mercer Studio bag, available in a variety of colors and notably the perfect day-night bag with an adjustable strap, not to mention an Iftar worthy accompaniment for a fancier affair, the Michael Kors Jade clutch bag now available in a festive metallic gold for the month of Ramadan.

Alongside the coveted leather accessories that Michael Kors is better known for, are elegant and modest kaftans and the perfect summer sandals, exclusively for the Arab market.

The stunning Michael Kors Ramadan collection is available across the Middle East, in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.

Michael Kors is one of the most celebrated American designers and one of the biggest in the fashion industry. The designer himself is also the youngest recipient of the CFDA Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award — which recognizes outstanding contributions made to American fashion by individuals from all areas of the industry.

Last December, Michael Kors Holdings Limited announced that it would go fur-free across the company, which includes brands like Jimmy Choo – which is set to phase out any use of fur products by the end of 2018, following suit with top luxury houses including Gucci, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Armani.
