Jewelry Education Empowers Young Saudis Through New Partnership

The Future Institute of Higher Education and Training in Jeddah has recently established a strategic partnership with HRD Antwerp, the leading authority in diamond grading, education, and equipment in Europe. The primary focus of this collaboration is to foster and cultivate the upcoming generation of talented individuals in Saudi Arabia.

Rajaa Moumena, the visionary behind the Future Institute of Higher Education and Training, believes that Saudi entrepreneurs within the jewelry industry possess the potential for global triumph through the creation of high-quality products. Moreover, young Saudis can now explore opportunities to enter the global jewelry industry armed with internationally recognized qualifications.

The signing ceremony, which took place in Jeddah, emphasized the positive prospects for professionals in the fast-growing gems and jewelry sector, with double-digit annual growth rates in both domestic and export markets. Moumena emphasized the importance of equipping young Saudis with professional knowledge about the diamond industry to capitalize on these opportunities.

Moumena highlighted that partnerships like this one bring immense talent and opportunities to the Saudi Arabian jewelry market, ultimately benefiting the industry as a whole. She expressed the Future Institute's commitment to forging alliances that enable young Saudis to develop their skills, particularly those relevant to industrial and manufacturing advancement, essential for the progress of the nation's economy.

Fabio D’Amico, head of HRD Antwerp's education department, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, recognizing the significance of the new generation as the future of the jewelry industry. He stressed the importance of providing them with the necessary tools, expertise, and network to nurture their talents effectively. D’Amico further emphasized HRD Antwerp's commitment to contributing to the local communities where they operate by offering training and employment opportunities for regional talents.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, D’Amico conducted a highly attended free seminar on diamond grading titled "How to become a diamond grader," catering to numerous enthusiastic young males and females interested in the field.

To ensure accessibility to training, HRD Antwerp plans to establish a local calendar of courses starting in September. This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive platform for young Saudis to gain valuable expertise and skills in the diamond industry, fostering their growth and transforming them into leading forces within the global jewelry arena. Both organizations look forward to leveraging this partnership's potential to bring about positive change and empower young Saudis on their journey to success.
