Imaan Hammam, a Dutch Moroccan Egyptian model, announced on Instagram that she has been named as the new global ambassador for US cosmetics giant Estée Lauder. To commemorate the announcement, Hammam posted a little video including footage of herself in various outfits. She accessorized her first outfit with layered necklaces, hanging earrings, and chunky rings. She wore a thigh-high gown with a full-length sheer embroidered dress over it.
She chose a fiery red latex bodysuit with an equally fiery red lip for her second appearance. Hammam then changed into her third dress, an orange knit skirt and crop top combination. Her friends, including US-Somali catwalk star Halima Aden, French Cindy Bruna, US model Meghan Roche, and US singer Ebony Riley, went on Instagram to congratulate her on the new role.
Before appearing in Jean Paul Gaultier's couture show in 2013, Hammam was discovered in Amsterdam's Centraal Station. She has since established herself as one of the most sought-after models in the business, walking the runways for renowned fashion labels like Burberry, Fendi, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Balenciaga, and Carolina Herrera. She has furthermore appeared in commercials throughout the globe for brands including DKNY, Celine, Chanel, Versace, Givenchy, Giorgio Armani, Tiffany & Co.
At the Met Gala recently, Hammam caught everyone's attention with a white dress from Irish designer Michael Stewart's label Standing Ground. The long-sleeved, form-fitting dress had cream-colored fringe accents around the waist. Gigi Hadid, a US-Palestinian-Dutch model, also attended and was dressed in a black Givenchy costume with feathers, a drop waist, and a transparent tulle train. Its creation required more than 300 hours. At the Met Gala after-party, US beauty vlogger Meredith Duxbury promoted Saudi designer Honayda Serafi by wearing a long, black tulle dress with a checkered twill collar from the designer's Spring/Summer 2023 collection.
