Adidas X IVY PARK’s ‘Ivy Heart’ Capsule Collection Is Dropping Just In Time For V-Day

The campaign for the love-inspired collection homes in on bringing people together from all different backgrounds through red, a colour that’s sentimental to so many.

Red, a colour that is commonly associated with love, romance and sensuality in the west, undoubtedly dominates on Valentine's Day. So it was a natural hue to focus on for "Ivy Heart," a capsule collection inspired by love from adidas x IVY PARK. Of course, there’s also the fact that in the east, red is attributed to good fortune and joy, giving an added reason to put the colour that seems to be associated with only good things centrestage. In addition to vibrant reds, playful pinks and nuanced neutrals make an appearance in the collection that features distinct looks with inclusive and in gender-neutral sizing in fashion styles, performance gear, footwear and accessories.

Love, most importantly love of one’s self, is at the core of "Ivy Heart," part of an ongoing adidas x IVY PARK creative partnership. Cheeky and suggestive looks are an integral part of the latest drop that includes hues like Candy Paint (shock pink), Lipstick Smudge (red), Raspberry Beret (power red), Red, Red Whine (cherry wood) and Cheeks (off-white). The line, conceived around the three pillars of foundation, active and fashion, is punctuated by tactile materials like velour, ribbed knit, jacquard, jersey and faux latex. It is also complemented by performance fabrics and graphic prints, allowing ample designs to mix-and-match from work out to night out.

The capsule collection’s designs have been created with IVY PARK CEO Beyoncé’s love of athleticism and fashion in mind, merged with adidas’s performance and innovation. The pieces, which include a velour dress and tracksuit, a faux latex crop puffer, a pique jumpsuit, a knit tank bodysuit, snakeskin printed shorts and top and a sequinned duster, are sporty, stylish, and most importantly, unique. 

For accessory lovers, there’s a five-panel hat, a clutch and a heart-lip belt bag, while footwear consists of both on-the-court and off-duty models. The footwear range is highlighted by a new iteration of the classic “Stan Smith” sneaker in Cheeks, with a rubber dipped midsole. Additionally, the collection introduces a new silhouette, the “IVP Superstar Plim,” a mule style shoe inspired by the iconic adidas “Superstar,” also in Cheeks. The line also features a new colourway of the “IVP Savage” sneaker in the same hue, an “IVP” swim slide in Lipstick Smudge and the “Ultraboost” in Candy Paint.

The collection is available online at adidas.com on February 9 and on February 10 in selection stores globally.
