UAE Foodies, Tune In To Chef Francesco Guarracin’s Cooking Masterclass

Roberto’s Group Executive Chef will be preparing some restaurant favourites with Gaggenau appliances.

The lockdown has undoubtedly created an opportunity to reignite our love for cooking, and it seems this new-found appreciation is here to stay. For those who miss the delicious signature dishes found at their favourite restaurants but want the satisfaction of being a culinary hero and preparing something special at home, some eateries have come up with the perfect solution, pre-prepared boxes. And yes, Roberto’s is one of the UAE restaurants that is offering luxury boxes of pre-cooked signature dishes. Only requiring the finishing touches to bring them to life, they are perfect for the super busy who want to enjoy a fantastic meal in the comfort of their homes. 


Chef Francesco Guarracino

You can catch Roberto’s Group Executive Chef Francesco Guarracino preparing three recipes that are a part of ‘Roberto’s At Home’ dining experience. If you want to rustle up delicious MelanzanaCalamarata or Lemon e Lemons with some professional direction, join the masterclass on July 15, which will be live streamed on Roberto’s Instagram page at 5 p.m. 

Calamarata

Ready in 6 minutes

Kitchen Utensils:

  • 1 pot
  • 1 pan
  • 1 plate
  • 1 strainer
  • 1 spoon

Directions:
1. Bring a pot of salted water to boil.
2. Remove all the ingredients from the box.
3. Cook the calamarata pasta in the boiling water for four minutes.
4. Pour the sauce in a pan and heat gently for a few minutes.
5. Strain the pasta in the pan with the sauce and add the prawns, burrata cream and fresh basil
6. Mix the pasta in the sauce for one minute with olive oil.
7. Garnish with pistachio crumble.
 

Lemon & Lemons

Ready in 5 minutes

Kitchen Utensils:

  • Scissors
  • Small spatula
  • Plate

Directions:
1. Remove the ingredients from the box.
2. Pour the shiso sauce around the plate.
3. Place the lemon in the middle of the plate.
4. Add the lemon gel on the right-hand side of the plate and the mandarin sauce on the left-hand side. 
5. Garnish with fresh mint.
 

Melanzana

Ready in 12 minutes

Kitchen Utensils

  • 1 spatula
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 plate

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Remove all the ingredients from the box.
3. Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese on the Melanzana.
4. Cover with aluminium foil.
5. Bake for 10 minutes.
6. Use a spatula to plate.
7. Garnish with basil.
