Jennifer Lopez’s Iconic Versace Dress Could Be Yours

Jennifer Lopez made headlines, and history, as she attended the 2002 Grammy Awards, with then partner P Diddy, in a rather risqué green printed Versace number. Known for her enviable physique and chart-topping hits including, Jenny From The Block and Love Don’t Cost A Thing, THAT iconic Versace dress made a reinvented comeback this year at the Italian maison’s Milan Fashion Week show.

When Jennifer Lopez stepped onto the Grammys red carpet in 2002 in Versace’s vibrant and tropical printed creation, she didn’t know just how she’d be breaking the internet. Search engine, Google, was bombarded with searches for the details of the sheer dress – so much that Google’s founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin and CEO Eric Schmidt went on to invent the site’s image search function. Because of J Lo’s choice of attire that night, Google was never the same again!

Speaking to a US publication, Lopez spoke about the infamous Versace dress, “I really didn’t think about it. I didn’t think it was all that risqué, to be honest. The dress was just provocative enough to make people interested.”

The iconic green printed silk dress was reinvented this year as the pop singer and style icon flew to Milan to celebrate its 20th anniversary and the celebration had a twist, the dress will be available for purchase.

Jennifer Lopez’s appearance at MFW in the same dress, featuring the same embellishments, details and colors is available to purchase on luxury website, Moda Operandi, for a limited time of 10 days for a cool $9,325 USD, and shipped to its owner on May 5th 2020.
