Check Out Dubai’s New and Free Open-Air Museum

Constantly championing art and culture, Dubai has recently unveiled a brand new open-air museum showcasing its latest art installation, the Jumeirah Project.

Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, just launched a rather nostalgic art initiative in the Emirate.

The Jumeirah Project is working in collaboration with Brand Dubai on an installation that features 30 murals scattered along Jumeirah Road. The art pieces have been created by hand-selected regional and international artists and aim to show Dubai’s journey and transformation over the years.

Long-time residents of Dubai would likely remember Jumeirah Road when it was a two-lane stretch dotted with coffee shops selling beach goods. Now, the walls of one of the most renowned streets in Dubai are adorned with precious old memories telling stories from the past to the present, starting at Dubai Canal and ending at Jumeirah Al Naseem.

Some residents along the road even allowed their houses to be decorated with the new murals!

This new art installation is merely one way in which Dubai is encouraging creativity with a view, to increase the happiness of the people living there whilst making art more accessible to the masses.
