These are KSA and UAE’s Favourite Brands

Think about what you buy. What electronics brands you love, which airlines you fly on, and what snacks you nibble on. You’ll probably find at least one of your favourite brands on Annual BestBrand Rankings’ list.

The group surveyed 24 countries, including KSA and UAE, and asked if consumers had “heard anything positive or negative about a brand in the last two weeks through advertising, news or word-of-mouth." Their data creates a clear view of the companies each country loves.

Though KSA’s list is dominated by international brands and titans like Apple, some local and regional brands shone through. Dairy giant Almarai got the top spot on the list, and other local brands include fast-food chain Al Baik and Saudia Airlines.

The UAE list was also dominated by big international brands, but Emirates Airlines ranked first on the list. Emaar and Etihad, giants in their fields, were the only other local brands that made the cut.

Apparently, UAE consumers are a bit pickier than their KSA counterparts when it comes to electronics. Samsung is missing from the list, while Apple and iPhone remain steady – Android phones are not welcome in UAE!
