Egyptian Vlogger Does Incredible Sign Language Song Covers and We're Obsessed

Falling down the YouTube rabbit hole of song covers is really easy. Well, get ready, because you’re about to find a new obsession to push you over the edge– sign language song covers.

Salma Elaimy, an Egyptian vlogger, covers popular songs in American Sign Language, and she’s really good. Her cover of “Love The Way You Lie” is particularly good. We know what you’re thinking – what about Eminem’s part? Just watch.

That’s right, she kept up her sign language with Eminem’s rapid fire rapping, and she did it with style – we hope this will become the new dance fad of 2017, it’s so much better than the Harlem Shake. Other than being a great way for you to jam to your favourite songs, you can also pick up a new skill and learn some sign language.

You would be in good company on her channel, as just about 3,400 people watched her cover of “We Are The World” by Michael Jackson.

She has more style when she’s signing than most people do when they’re dancing, which makes her videos mesmerizing. Just watch her version of “Thriller” and you’ll want to trade the usual Thriller dance for her moves (sorry, Michael Jackson).

It’s stylish and accessible at the same time. But the vlogger isn’t just a sign language star, she’s a self-proclaimed gypsea. The scuba diver’s adventures are up on her Instagram account, so you can mix your fear of sharks with your love of music. Look, she even found Nemo!

You can find more of her ASL song covers on her YouTube channel, but be careful, once you start watching them you won’t be able to stop!

What do you think of these ASL covers? Let us know in the comments.
