How To: Get This Selena Gomez Beauty Look

Get this stunning Selena Gomez beauty look from her go-to make-up artist Hung Vanngo, who just happens to also be one of the celebrity world’s most renowned beauty pros.

Prolonged Instagram fame, some new music, Executive Producing a hit Netflix series and health problems have all added to making 2017 a transformative year for Selena Gomez. Plus, the Texas-born talent was honoured with the "Woman of the Year" award at the 2017 Billboard Women in Music event. While we loved what she wore to the event, her make-up was what really stole our attention. And thankfully, we can get the look created by Hung Vanngo, Marc Jacobs Beauty Global Artistry Ambassador.

Noting Gomez likes to look natural, Vanngo said: “It’s all about skin and enhancing her features. After seeing her outfit, I gave the make-up a little 90s feel.” Here’s a step-by-step guide to get the look.

The Face

Marc Jacobs Beauty Perfection Powder Featherweight Foundation

MJB Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter

MJB Remedy Concealer Pen

He’s nicknamed Hung Van Glow by some as beautiful skin has become one of his signature traits, so Vanngo’s first order of the day was to undoubtedly use his A-game prepping techniques on Selena’s skin. He then applied Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer, then buffed in Marc Jacobs Beauty Genius Gel Super-Charged Oil-Free Foundation in 34 Beige Medium. All the luminosity is thanks to some Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter, which was placed on top of her cheekbones, the bridge of her nose and on the Cupid’s bow.

The Eyes & Brows

MJB Matte Highliner Earthquake 41

Vanngo reached for the Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Eye Primer once again to prep Gomez’s eyelids. He then opted for the Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette in Glambition and picked out the “Known For” shade, which he spread over all her eyelids and lower lash line. Next, the Vietnamese-born make-up maestro applied Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in (Earth)quake 41, a dark brown shade, to define her upper lash lines. He used Marc Jacobs Beauty The Smudge Brush to soften the line, and continued to use the same brush to apply another shade from the same palette, “Over The Top”, to create more depth. After applying two coats of Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara on the songstress’s upper lashes only, he filled her brows with Marc Jacobs Beauty Brow Wow Defining Longwear Eyebrow Pencil in Medium Brown 6 and brushed them up and out with Marc Jacobs Beauty Brow Tamer Grooming Gel.

The Lips
For the lips, Vanngo lined Selena’s lips with Marc Jacobs Beauty Poutliner Longwear Lip Liner Pencil in Nude(ist) 300 and then filled in her entire lips with Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in No Angel 242, an apricot nude shade.
