Imaan Hammam Shines Bright: A Standout Presence at Paris Fashion Week

Imaan Hammam, a model of Moroccan-Egyptian-Dutch descent, has risen in prominence as a regular presence at Paris Fashion Week in 2024. Starting on January 21, this event marks the beginning of an exciting and packed fashion calendar.

She walked the catwalks for luxury French brands Louis Vuitton and Ami Paris. At the Ami Paris show, the 27-year-old model elegantly strutted out from imposing double doors in a lengthy grey trench coat adorned with gold buttons and cinched at the waist by a coordinating grey belt. She wore a matching grey turtle neck and introduced a vibrant touch with yellow high-heeled boots.

For the fall/winter collection, Ami Paris designer Alexandre Mattiussi gave traditional bourgeois styles a modern touch. Models paraded in long tailored coats, fitted suit jackets, and shimmering tops against the backdrop of a towering building facade, reminiscent of life in a Paris apartment building, as described by Mattiussi.

More formal styles were included in the collection, such as a short faux fur top with sleeves that reached the three-quarter mark, a glittering gold dress with a deep V-neck, and for men, a transparent grey tank top with high-waisted trousers.

Astonished spectators were startled as they saw more famous models on the runway, including stars Diane Kruger, Laetitia Casta, Lou Doillon, Andres Velencoso, and Audrey Marnay.

At the high-profile Louis Vuitton show, where celebrities like supermodel Karlie Kloss, tennis player Venus Williams, and Hollywood stars Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan were present, Hammam charmed the audience in an elegant outfit. She wore a clean white button-down shirt with a delicate print, matched with a knee-length velvet pleated skirt layered over coordinating straight-leg pants. The ensemble was completed with Western-inspired elements that served as displays of top-notch craftsmanship, including a cowboy buckle belt and a matching cowhide Speedy.

The model posted a video of her catwalk to her 1.7 million Instagram followers, cheekily describing it as "Not your average cowgirl." Additionally, she gave an inside look into her preparations. In a brief clip, Hammam, thrilled to be there for Pharrell and LV, shared backstage excitement just a minute before the show.
