Days after their November 4 weekend wedding, Kate Upton and Justin Verlander shared the same photo of the nuptials on their Instagram accounts. All smiles, the newlyweds looked happier than ever while walking down the aisle moments after saying their vows. And the 25-year-old supermodel looked simply stunning in the first wedding picture she posted via the social media site. Captioning the photo taken by photographer KT Merry, she expressed her excitement about becoming Mrs. Verlander with: "I feel so lucky that I got to marry my best friend!! @justinverlander Thank you to our family and friends for making this weekend so fun and magical!" Verlander, a pitcher for the Houston Astros, also declared how blessed he feels via his post, commenting: “Happy wife happy life! What an amazing beginning to our journey together.”
It was just a few days after Verlander’s team won the World Series that the duo were busy celebrating another very big day, their wedding. They capped off what must be one of the most memorable weeks in their lives under the Tuscan skies. The intimate and romantic ceremony was held at a beautiful medieval church overlooking the Montalcino Valley and vineyards. As the photo shows, tons of flowers added even more charm to the beautiful backdrop. Close family and friends also enjoyed the wedding party held at the luxurious Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco resort.
The "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit" cover girl was a vision in an elegant, long-sleeved Valentino gown. She accessorised the lace creation with floral hints and voluminous tulle skirt with a long white veil. Upton also carried a bouquet of peach, light pink and ivory flowers that coordinated with the surrounding arrangements by Tuscany Flowers. The beauty, who is also an actress, wore her hair pinned up on one side and had her make-up done by famed make-up artist and Founder of Lash Star Beauty, Tracy Murphy. Her baseball beau also looked picture-perfect in a three-piece classic black tux and bowtie.
Verlander, 34, presented “The Layover” star an engagement ring he custom-designed just before the 2016 baseball season. However, Upton didn’t show off the one-of-a-kind Anita Ko dazzler until the couple officially revealed their engagement at the 2016 Met Gala. She has openly gushed about how wonderful her life has been since meeting Verlander. “Our relationship is my favourite thing about my life right now,” she once told “People.” We wish the couple, who began dating in 2014, a lifetime of things to smile about.
