Kim Kardashian And Sabrina Sato Shine In Alaia Ensembles

This week, Kim Kardashian, a prominent figure in reality TV and business, and Sabrina Sato, a Brazilian TV presenter, were seen wearing dresses from the Paris-based fashion house Alaia. This iconic fashion label was established by the late Tunisian fashion designer Azzedine Alaia.

Kim Kardashian opted for a black, long-sleeved maxi dress from Alaia's fall 2023 ready- to-wear collection. The dress featured a cinched waist with leather accents and was worn by Kardashian at the 5th Anniversary Soirée of This Is About Humanity in Los Angeles. This event honored Lauren Sánchez, the fiancée of Amazon's executive chairman, Jeff Bezos, for her humanitarian work aiding families split up at the US border. Kardashian completed her look with gold chain necklaces and a Chanel clutch. She sported a sleek updo with new bangs and attended the event alongside her mother, Kris Jenner, who wore a white satin ensemble and had her makeup done by the renowned Lebanese makeup artist Samer Khouzami.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Sato took part in a charitable event in So Paulo while dressed in a figure-hugging black lace dress with a feather train. She accessorized her look with bold gold bangles and hoop earrings. Sato's ensemble included a head cover that elegantly wrapped around her hair and neck.

Azzedine Alaia, the genius behind the Alaia brand, passed away in November 2017 in Paris. He was celebrated in the fashion industry as the "King of Cling" due to his exceptional designs. His creations were favored by celebrities such as Rihanna, Penelope Cruz, and Kim Kardashian.

A 27-minute documentary titled "Azzedine Alaa, 18 rue de la Verrerie Paris" was released in 2021 by director Nathalie Plicot. It was part of the "Une Maison, Une Artiste" series and was broadcast on the French television channel France 5. It gave a rare view into the Parisian residence of the late couturier Azzedine Alaia. The film delved into Alaia's life, exploring his home, where he both lived and created his iconic designs. It also shed light on his legendary dinner gatherings that brought together creative minds. The documentary featured readings of Alaia's quotes by French actress Isabelle Huppert, as well as interviews and photographs of individuals close to him, including painter Christoph Von Weyhe, studio director Caroline Fabre Bazin, fitting model Ana Carolina Reis, and personal chef Ibrahim Soumare.
