Who doesn’t love brunch, that charmed time between breakfast and lunch when you can have the best of both meals after a well deserved sleep in? Dubai now has a reputation of being a premier destination for the blessed weekend meal, which has become a social and culinary favourite in the desert wonderland. And as we have left summer and are entering the cooler months, brunch becomes a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors as well.

Here are three venues that have you covered when it comes to indulging in great food this new season, whether you want to socialise with friends or spend some quality time with your family.

Blue Marlin Ibiza Uae

Kaiso Salad

For the new season, Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE has upped the ante with its Saturday Brunch, which became popular for its great food, sweet beachside escape vibes and seating options. It’s a spot for everyone from trendy mums with their families to girl squads and cool vibers waiting for the sunset.

The little oasis, nestled between Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Ghantoot Al Jazira Island, has a schedule that takes us all into consideration, from sports enthusiasts and fashionistas to those who want to celebrate their national days. Whether it’s the BBQ Brunch, Spanish National Day Brunch, Fashion Brunch or just the regular offerings, you’re sure to find something for you. Music lovers are also in for some special sound treats with the Jazz Brunch, jazz vocalist Anna, African House DJ Charl Chaka and homegrown duo Arcade 82. Plus, of course, resident DJs Sam Starks and Jean B are there rounding things off.

Prawn Tempura

After choosing a spot, whether it’s a beach bed or a shaded table in the restaurant with a bird’s eye view of the whole venue, you can settle down to enjoy the diverse brunch experience. Chef Mahmoud Turkmani has reformulated the menu, which is an unexpected fusion of ingredients that inspired him while wandering through the streets of Japan and Mediterranean farms.

BOCA

This award-winning Mediterranean restaurant and bar in Dubai’s financial centre, DIFC, continues to build on the success of its original sharing concept. And BOCA’s new menu oozes with creative tastes from France, Italy and Spain, with the help of locally sourced ingredients. The great news for weekenders is the healthy and hearty new menu comes with a revamped brunch.

If you loved the old menu, fear not as the new one still includes all the favourites, as well as some old hits and the new dishes. The latest additions bring in Bocadillo de Foie, a goose foie gras pate with red onion chutney, the octopus sarnie Pulpo Adicto and a Barley Orzotto. which comes with green vegetables, asparagus and parmesan. You’ll also have the chance to try the Lobster, Tapenade & Lime Pizzetta, BOCA’s Paella Valenciana, which comes with mixed baby vegetables, Bomba rice and organic free range chicken,  and Fish On A Plank. If you want to stick to the all-time favourites, the Gnocchi with Braised Beef Short Rib is all yours.

For desserts there’s the original new Foraging for Beginners, a yogurt mousse with chocolate, candied mushrooms and pear sorbet. Another new treat is the Rocky Cheesecake Cannoli, a concoction of Gianduja cannoli, sheep ricotta and hazelnut and cappuccino ice cream.
