Yasmin Al Mulla, the Emirati mastermind behind fashion label YNM, is not only a fashion designer in her own right, but also a freelance stylist, fitness buff, a conscious foodie and also happens to own one of the most beautiful Instagram accounts to exist.
The 27-year-old launched YNM in 2014 with her sister and the two of them have taken the Dubai fashion world by storm. All clothes are designed in-house and all retain a sense of elegance.
Yasmin may love social media, but she doesn’t believe in selling her clothes via social media platforms, instead believing that if the brand is strong enough, customers will seek out the clothes.
Earlier this year marked the end of Yasmin’s mother’s battle with colon cancer and she won. In honour of that journey and for Colon Cancer Awareness Month in March, Yasmin created a limited-edition caftan. As told to Vogue Arabia by Yasmin, ‘the colour was navy blue which represents colon cancer, the transparent glass beads represent purity, the pearls attract luck and the floral embellishments are for blooming hope’. The dress was named ‘The Noora’, after her mother.
Yasmin’s Instagram account reflects her love for healthy foods (especially breakfasts), fashion (especially shoes) and all things beautiful, including books, flowers, art and travel.
