Carla Bruni Brings a French Touch to Lebanon

Carla Bruni launched her singing career in 2002, with the release of her 1st album, "Quelqu'un m'a dit", and has toured the world since. From New York to Rio, London and Moscow, Bruni, wife of ex-President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy took to Lebanon this week to perform at the Beiteddine Art Festival, which is one of the Middle East’s most anticipated yearly events.

The multitalented previous First Lady of France, model and singer, showcased her talents in singing classic rock, country and jazz standards in English, from her fifth album, "French Touch", at the festival, where her husband was also present in supporting her.

Bruni looked every part the rock goddess in slick leather trousers, a basic t-shirt and black and gold embellished jacket with signature tousled hair as she captivated her audience with her sultry voice.

The Beiteddine Art Festival takes place in a large and magnificent 200-year old Palace in the Chouf Mountains, in Lebanon where it hosts over 5000 attendees. Each year, in the summer months, the monumental cultural event presents exceptional performances by internationally renowned and Lebanese artists, as well as housing art exhibitions by global artists.
